AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The unveiling ceremony for the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly’s Achievements Exhibition was held at the Assembly’s venue in Qom, with the presence of Ayatollah Sayed Ahmad Khatami, a member of the Supreme Council, and Ayatollah Ramazani, the Secretary-General of the Assembly.
Ayatollah Sayed Ahmad Khatami stated that the execution of this exhibition, which was implemented in the shortest possible time, is a commendable style and a model for all institutions. He said, “All the esteemed individuals concerned with introducing AhlulBayt (a.s.) have worked sincerely for this collection to take shape, and their efforts truly deserve appreciation.”
Continuing, he referred to the background of establishing unity-oriented institutions within the Islamic system, adding, “With foresight, the Supreme Leader established the ‘World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought’. He believed that the term ‘proximity’ is more precise than ‘unity’, as it accepts differences in viewpoints while emphasizing commonalities.”
The member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly recalled, “Following that, the International Ghadir Foundation was also established by the order of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution. Someone had asked the Supreme Leader, ‘Was it necessary to establish both the Unity Assembly and the Ghadir Foundation?’ and the Leader of the Revolution replied, ‘We do not practice Taqiyyah (ostensible denial of religious belief) in Shiism today; we say with pride that we are Shiite, and this must be declared with honor.’”
He emphasized, “Today, the world has understood that Shiism is a supporter of the oppressed. The world has come to know that Shiism stands against the oppressor, and Shiism is a symbol of resistance, and has defended Gaza. This authentic Shiite identity has no conflict with proximity, because proximity means standing against the common enemy, not abandoning religious identity.”
The member of the Presidium of the Assembly of Experts stressed that, “By God’s grace, the path of both proximity and Ghadir will powerfully continue under the auspices of the sacred system of the Islamic Republic and the guidance of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution.”
In conclusion, the member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, while appreciating the efforts of the managers and staff of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, deemed the launch of this exhibition timely and wished success for those involved in it.
