AhlulBayt News Agency: Senior leader of the Shia Ulema Council, Allama Syed Nazir Abbas Taqvi, has said that by joining the Gaza Board of Peace agreement, the Prime Minister of Pakistan has disappointed 250 million people. The public rejects this move. This agreement is contrary to the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The Founder of the Nation had a clear and unequivocal stance on Israel, stating that Israel is a dagger thrust into the heart of Palestine and an occupying state; therefore, Pakistan will never recognize it under any circumstances.
In a video message released on social media, the central leader of the Shia Ulema Council said that before taking this step, the Prime Minister neither deemed it necessary to take the National Assembly nor the Senate into confidence, and has taken an action that will push Pakistan into further difficulties.
The important point is that the so-called board formed in the name of peace in Palestine does not even include representation from Palestine itself. In other words, after gathering hired individuals from around the world, the United States wants to establish peace on Palestinian land—such a peace that is against the will of the Palestinian people.
Allama Syed Nazir Abbas Taqvi further stated that US President Donald Trump openly says that Hezbollah and Hamas will be disarmed. Hezbollah and Hamas are the forces that protect Palestine against Israel.
If Pakistan, on Trump’s signal, attempts to disarm Hamas, it will inevitably lead to confrontation. Our armed forces will clash with those fighters who have been defending Palestinian land for decades. God forbid, if as a result of this confrontation Pakistani soldiers are killed, we should be told what medals we will award them.
If someone is martyred while fighting the enemy, they are awarded the Nishan-e-Haider—but what will we call someone killed at the hands of Hamas?
He said he believes that no Shia or Sunni Pakistani will accept the Prime Minister’s action whereby our soldiers are sent to Palestine in the name of peace to carry out actions that result in the bloodshed of the oppressed Palestinian people.
