Pakistani Scholar Raised Concerns Over Agenda to Annex Palestine Under ‘Board of Peace’

Patron of Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan, Abdul Qadeer Khamosh said that the agenda of annexing Palestine hidden behind the so-called “Board of Peace” is terrifying

AhlulBayt News Agency: Patron of Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan and former Secretary General of the ARD, Qazi Abdul Qadeer Khamosh, has said that creating an institution parallel to the United Nations under the name of a “Board of Peace” would be tantamount to playing with global peace.

He Said: The real issue is not the creation of new institutions, but the failure to implement United Nations resolutions. On the surface, there appears to be no objection to a Board of Peace; however, the agenda of colonial and authoritarian forces operating behind it to seize Palestine is alarming. Pakistan should not, under any circumstances, become part of a conspiracy to eliminate Palestine, nor should the Pakistan Armed Forces be used against Palestine.

He said that peace in the Middle East can only be established if Palestinians are included in its administrative framework, because they are the affected party, yet they have not even been included in the board. Qazi Abdul Qadeer Khamosh termed the US President’s plan as dangerous.

He said that if Palestinians are not part of the peace board, then it holds no significance. He demanded of global institutions and the US President that Palestine is a smoldering tinderbox and should not be further inflamed. If attempts are made to eliminate Palestine, the world will suffer enormous damage.

He further said that the world cannot afford another nuclear global war. Therefore, wisdom demands that the Palestine issue be resolved in the manner desired by the Palestinians: the occupied territories should be returned, Israel’s increasing aggression and terrorism should be stopped, and the best platform for this is the United Nations. If any new setup is created by bypassing the United Nations, it will further harm the global process.
