AhlulBayt News Agency: Head of Iraq’s Kataib Hezbollah resistance movement has warned the United States that a war against Iran will not be a “leisurely affair”, vowing support for the Islamic Republic in the event of such a war.
Abu Hussein al-Hamidawi, the group’s secretary general, said in a statement on Monday that the region is entering a “new chapter of conflict between the fronts of right and falsehood,” noting that the lines between the two camps have become increasingly clear.
Launching a war on Iran will not be a “leisurely affair” and would carry high costs for the United States, he warned, describing the Islamic Republic as a pillar of strength for the Muslim world.
Al-Hamidawi said that religious and moral duty requires standing alongside the Iranian people, adding that defending the country amounts to defending the Islamic Ummah's sanctities.
Addressing the Iranian people directly, he said that Kataib Hezbollah stands with them “in hardship and ease” and remains committed to defending Iran and its sacred values.
He also called on Iraqis and members of the wider Axis of Resistance to remain vigilant, warning against complacency and being influenced by traitorous voices, misinformation campaigns, and efforts to sow confusion.
