AhlulBayt News Agency: Israeli authorities have issued demolition orders for 104 Palestinian-owned homes and structures in the northern West Bank, continuing the regime’s aggressive land seizure efforts in the occupied territories despite international opposition.
The demolition notices were delivered to residents of Tulkarm refugee camp, giving them only 72 hours to file objections and vacate their properties. Detailed maps marked in red were included to show which buildings are targeted.
Tulkarm Governor Abdullah Kamil called on international institutions, human rights groups, and UN bodies to urgently intervene and stop the demolitions. He condemned the orders as part of a calculated campaign to erase Palestinian presence from the area.
Kamil described the move as a continuation of systematic displacement policies, citing daily demolitions and pressure that have already forced many to flee their homes.
Israel frequently demolishes Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem on the grounds of lacking building permits, though such permits are notoriously difficult for Palestinians to obtain. In some cases, residents are ordered to demolish their own homes or pay demolition costs.
Israeli forces have seized thousands of dunums of Palestinian farmland to construct and expand illegal settlements throughout the West Bank.
Since 1967, over 600,000 Israelis have settled in more than 230 locations across the occupied West Bank and East al-Quds.
These settlements are considered illegal under international law. The United Nations Security Council has condemned Israeli settlement activity in multiple resolutions.
