AhlulBayt News Agency: Ayatollah Abbas Ka’bi, member of the Assembly of Experts and Vice President of the Qom Seminary Teachers' Society, has condemned the recent Israeli strike on the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), declaring it a sign of desperation and the inevitable decline of the Zionist regime.
Speaking on a televised program aired by IRIB, Ayatollah Ka’bi described the attack on the News Network as a continuation of the Zionist regime’s longstanding war on truth and journalism.
“The Zionist regime has a dark history of targeting journalists in Gaza—over 100 have been martyred,” he stated. “Now, they have attacked News Network, a vital center in the Islamic Republic’s soft war effort.”
Ayatollah Ka’bi emphasized that the regime's actions reflect its fear of truth and its weakening grip on power:
“The Zionists are enemies of free speech, free media, and journalistic integrity. They will resort to any barbarity to survive. But the reality is clear — the gradual death of the Zionist regime has certainly begun.”
He praised the Iranian national media for its resilience in the face of aggression, calling it “a symbol of national pride and a key force in the media jihad.” He also commended IRIB’s quick response in maintaining broadcasts during the strike and upholding the mission of defending truth through what he called the “jihad of explanation.”
Highlighting the courage shown during the attack, Ayatollah Ka’bi paid tribute to the female anchor who remained on air amid the bombing:
“That brave, faithful lioness is a true model for women in the Islamic Revolution. Her courage in that moment sent a message of honor, strength, and dignity to the world on behalf of Iranian women.”
He concluded by expressing gratitude to all journalists across the country, particularly those who were injured in the attack, and prayed for their swift recovery:
“We salute all courageous media professionals who continue to serve the cause of truth and resistance.”
The remarks come in the wake of heightened regional tensions and amid growing outrage over the Zionist regime’s recent cross-border actions.
