AhlulBayt News Agency: The United Nations has reported that all hospitals in northern Gaza have ceased functioning due to Israel’s ongoing military aggression, while aid deliveries remain blocked as the regime continues to deny access.
UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric stated on Wednesday that more than 100,000 people have been forced to flee from North Gaza and Gaza governorates in the past three weeks.
He warned that health facilities are severely impacted by hostilities, with an increasing number shutting down daily.
“On Monday, the remaining staff and patients at the Indonesian Hospital in North Gaza were evacuated. As a result, not a single hospital remains operational in North Gaza,” Dujarric confirmed.
Despite ongoing UN aid deliveries through the Karem Abu Salem (Kerem Shalom) crossing, Israel approved only 50 flour-carrying trucks out of 130 that had already received preliminary clearance.
Dujarric reported that one aid convoy was completely blocked, while another managed to retrieve only 12 truckloads. Since the crossing reopened, fewer than 400 trucks have been collected.
On Monday alone, UN operations faced six access denials across Gaza, including failed attempts to deliver water and obtain fuel.
Dujarric emphasized that Israeli restrictions prevent the UN from carrying out critical interventions, such as trucking water to those in need.
Beyond blocking aid, Israel continues to target Gaza’s health system. On Monday, the Israeli military demolished the Noura al-Kaabi dialysis center, the only facility providing kidney dialysis to Palestinian patients in northern Gaza.
Additionally, on Sunday, the director of al-Shifa hospital reported that five cancer patients die daily in their homes due to the lack of medical care caused by Israel’s siege and bombardment.
Israel launched its military campaign in Gaza on October 7, 2023, following a Hamas operation against Israeli forces in retaliation for Tel Aviv’s intensified atrocities against Palestinians.
So far, Israel has killed at least 54,607 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 125,341 others in the besieged territory.
Throughout its bloody aggression, Israel has systematically targeted Gaza’s civilian infrastructure, including hospitals and schools, in blatant violation of international law.
