Guided by Imams, Shia always chose courage over fear – Pakistani Scholar

Throughout history, the Ahlul Bayt (A.S.) and their followers have endured severe oppression, yet the Shi'a community has consistently followed the path of truth and righteousness, making the lives of the Imams their guiding light. In the face of tyranny, the Shi'as chose courage and resilience over fear.

AhlulBayt News Agency: A mourning gathering was held at Madressa Al-Wilayah in Qom to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Muhammad Taqi al-Jawad (A.S.), attended by a large number of scholars, students, and lovers of Ahlul Bayt (A.S.).

The event began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by nohas presented by renowned reciters.

In his speech, Allama Syed Hasan Zafar Naqvi said that while many schools of thought exist within Islam, Shi'ism remains the only one actively present in the practical field today, as it possesses a complete model for life in the form of the Imams of Ahlul Bayt (A.S.).

He stated that throughout history, the Ahlul Bayt (A.S.) and their followers have endured severe oppression, yet the Shi'a community has consistently followed the path of truth and righteousness, making the lives of the Imams their guiding light. In the face of tyranny, the Shi'as chose courage and resilience over fear.

Highlighting the significance of Qom, Allama Naqvi said the city has always been a spiritual and academic stronghold of Shi'ism, further elevated by Lady Fatima Masuma (S.A.) choosing it as her residence.

He criticized the historical trend of certain juristic schools issuing rulings in line with the desires of rulers, while the Imams of Ahlul Bayt (A.S.) upheld the banner of truth without compromise. He emphasized that Jafari jurisprudence does not accommodate false ideologies and has always rejected fabricated concepts.

Commenting on current affairs, Allama Naqvi warned that the Muslim Ummah is facing an intellectual invasion, where enemy ideologies are being inserted into educational curricula. He noted with concern that discussions are being held about celebrating figures like Marwan, known for their impiety — an issue that has drawn protests from both Shi'a and Sunni communities.

In conclusion, he highlighted the ongoing persecution of Shi'as in Parachinar, Gilgit-Baltistan, and other regions, saying, "Remember, every individual holds power. One person can change the destiny of a nation — just as Imam Khomeini led a revolution. We must have full faith in the promises of Allah and stand firm against oppression."
