AhlulBayt News Agency: A US official has confirmed that the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman is being withdrawn from West Asia and will not be replaced by another vessel.

The official told Al-Jazeera that both the US and the Yemeni Ansarullah resistance movement continue to uphold a mutual ceasefire.

Earlier this month, the two sides agreed on an Omani-mediated ceasefire, which prohibits attacks on each other, including US ships, to ensure secure maritime passage.

Before the ceasefire, the US had intensified its attacks on Yemen, attempting to pressure Sana’a into halting its strikes against Israel, Washington’s key regional ally.

The US official also noted that Israel does not inform the US beforehand about all its assaults on Ansarullah-related targets.

On Friday, Israeli forces launched new strikes against port facilities in Yemen’s Hudaydah region. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated, “This is only the beginning,” vowing intensified assaults against Ansarullah’s leadership and infrastructure.

Yemen’s Foreign Ministry condemned the repeated targeting of Yemeni ports, calling it evidence of Israel’s failure to achieve its objectives.

The statement also criticized the international community’s silence regarding Israeli aggression.

Senior Ansarullah member Mohammad al-Bukhaiti asserted that Yemen’s operations against Israel in support of Gaza would be exempt from the ceasefire deal.

Since October 2023, Yemeni armed forces have been attacking Israeli and US targets in the sea, supporting Palestinians in Gaza amid Israel’s devastating war on the besieged territory.
