AhlulBayt News Agency: Senior Iranian and Saudi diplomats convened to discuss the situation in Syria and the recent Israeli aggression in the country, reaffirming their shared commitment to Syria’s stability and sovereignty.
Mohammadreza Raouf Sheibani, Iran’s special envoy for Syrian affairs, met with Saud Al-Sati, Saudi Arabia’s deputy minister for political affairs, in Riyadh on Sunday. The discussion focused on developments in Syria and the impact of Israeli military actions.
Sheibani underscored the importance of preserving Syria’s unity and territorial integrity while condemning the destabilizing actions of the Israeli regime in Syria and the broader region. He emphasized Iran’s firm stance against such aggression.
Al-Sati echoed these concerns, reiterating Saudi Arabia’s unwavering support for Syria’s territorial integrity, peace, and stability. He also strongly condemned Israel’s attacks on Syrian infrastructure and civilian areas.
The meeting was part of Sheibani’s broader diplomatic engagements, as he has previously held discussions with officials from Russia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates regarding the Syrian crisis.
