AhlulBayt News Agency: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty extended his condolences to the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the devastating explosion at Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas. During a phone call with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, Abdelatty wished a speedy recovery for those injured in the tragic incident.
In the conversation, Abdelatty briefed Araghchi on Egypt’s ongoing initiatives to stop Israeli crimes in Palestine and to deliver humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable people of Gaza.
For his part, the Iranian Foreign Minister condemned the continued blockade of food and medical supplies to Gaza and the large-scale killing of innocent civilians, describing these actions as a “historic crime against humanity.”
Araghchi also accused the United States and Israel’s allies of being complicit in genocide and war crimes perpetrated by Israel.
Araghchi expressed grave concern over the international community’s apparent apathy towards these atrocities, calling it “deeply troubling and astonishing.”
He further highlighted the urgent need to resist Israel’s policy of forcibly displacing the residents of Gaza and the West Bank.
Additionally, the Iranian diplomat provided Abdelatty with an update on the latest developments in Iran’s negotiations with the United States.
