AhlulBayt News Agency: A devastating explosion on Saturday at Shahid Rajaee Port has resulted in the loss of 40 lives and left around 800 people injured.
The public relations office of the Hormozgan Province Justice Department confirmed the identities of 10 victims—8 men and 2 women—following the tragedy.
In response to the incident, provincial authorities have declared three days of public mourning across Hormozgan.
During a crisis management meeting in Hormozgan, Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni assured that all necessary measures had been implemented. Additionally, President Masoud Pezeshkian issued directives to address the situation.
The blast caused extensive destruction in nearby areas and disrupted several industries in western Bandar Abbas.
Shahid Rajaee Port, located along the Persian Gulf near the Strait of Hormoz, stands as Iran’s largest container terminal, managing nearly 80% of the country’s container operations.
