AhlulBayt News Agency: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has described Persian Gulf National Day as a powerful symbol of historical coexistence, interaction, and civilization-building.
In a post on his X account on Wednesday, Baqaei emphasized that this day is deeply rooted in the identity of Iran and the shared memory of the region, representing centuries of harmonious collaboration and cultural development.
He further highlighted that Persian Gulf National Day provides an opportunity to revisit the region’s common history, explore the foundations of its identity, and advocate for greater unity and good neighborliness among its nations to ensure security and sustainable development across West Asia.
Celebrated on April 30, Persian Gulf Day marks the anniversary of the liberation of Iran's southern shores from Portuguese colonial rule approximately 400 years ago.
