Iranian FM reaffirms right to Nuclear fuel cycle, calls for fair negotiation

In a post on the X social media platform, Iran's foreign minister reaffirmed Tehran’s right to maintain a full nuclear fuel cycle as a founding signatory to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).

AhlulBayt News Agency: In a post on the X social media platform, Iran's foreign minister reaffirmed Tehran’s right to maintain a full nuclear fuel cycle as a founding signatory to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).

"I typically avoid discussing key negotiation elements publicly, but repeating falsehoods does not alter fundamental realities. As a founding signatory to the NPT, Iran has every right to possess a full nuclear fuel cycle," he stated.
He further noted that several other NPT member states enrich uranium while fully rejecting nuclear weapons, mentioning that this group includes nations across Asia, Europe, and South America.

The minister criticized "maximalist positioning and incendiary rhetoric," arguing that such approaches only diminish the chances of a successful resolution.

"A viable and lasting agreement is within reach—what’s required is firm political determination and a fair approach," he concluded.
