AhlulBayt News Agency: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, currently in Islamabad, has emphasized that Tehran and Islamabad are working to strengthen bilateral cooperation and place their relations on a more constructive path.
Upon his arrival in the Pakistani capital on Sunday night for a day-long visit, Araghchi highlighted Iran’s commitment to fostering ties with Pakistan and other regional nations. He stated that his discussions with senior Pakistani officials would focus on mutual relations and pressing regional issues.
Araghchi underscored the significance of Tehran-Islamabad relations, noting that Iran also values its ties with other regional countries, including India. He stressed that Iran is keen on reducing tensions in the region and urged all parties to exercise restraint to prevent further escalation.
During his visit, Araghchi is scheduled to meet with Pakistan’s president, prime minister, and foreign minister to exchange views on bilateral cooperation and regional developments. He reaffirmed Iran’s intention to contribute to de-escalating tensions in the region.
According to a report from Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Sunday, Araghchi’s discussions will cover economic, trade, and border security cooperation, along with the latest regional and international developments.
