AhlulBayt News Agency: The head of the Shia Ulema Council, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, stated that talks between Iran and the US will only prove meaningful for global peace if they are held on equal footing, without any external pressure. He emphasized that the US must step out of its "superpower arrogance" and recognize Iran’s sovereignty.
He further said that "threatening Iran with airstrikes before negotiations is an attack on its sovereignty, and the international community should take serious note of this." He argued that agreements between nations should be based on mutual respect and equality, not coercion, as only then can they be durable and beneficial for world peace.
Allama Naqvi accused the US of "endangering global peace by adopting hostile policies toward certain countries under the influence of its superpower ego." He said that "by supporting Israel, America has already pushed the world toward war, and now, through its antagonistic policies against Islamic nations, it is paving the way for another global conflict."
He pointed out that "Israel, with US backing, is pressuring Iran to abandon its nuclear energy program," but expressed hope that "the negotiations will put an end to the anti-Iran propaganda spread by the US and Israel."
Thus, Allama Naqvi stressed the need for diplomatic solutions based on equality, justice, and free from coercion to ensure lasting global peace.
