AhlulBayt News Agency: During a press conference held at the Grand Mosque in Bahria Town, Lahore, on the occasion of "Palestine Solidarity Day," the head of the Pakistan Ulema Council, Tahir Ashrafi, shared several important points.
Emphasizing the need for public support for Palestinians, he said:
“We must continue holding peaceful rallies and protests in support of Palestine. To help the people of Gaza, cooperation between the public, the Pakistani government, and civil institutions is very necessary.”
Tahir Ashrafi warned about the dangerous intentions behind the "Greater Israel" project and said:
“The goal of this project is not limited to Palestine. Its ultimate target is Mecca and Medina. If we cannot go to war with Israel, then at the very least, we should boycott Israeli products.”
Clarifying Pakistan’s stance, he said:
“The people of Pakistan, our government, and our army stand with our Palestinian brothers. Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, has always supported the Palestinian cause. I myself met with the Palestinian ambassador at the Army Headquarters.”
He said that people across Pakistan are united in support of Palestine, and “Palestine Solidarity Day” is being observed nationwide.
“Our message is clear: Palestine was, is, and will always be ours.”
In the end, addressing the people of Palestine, he said:
“Even though we are geographically distant from you, our hearts are close to yours.”
