Parachinar Sit-in protest enters 9th day against Takfiri Terrorists' road blockade

A sit-in protest by citizens outside the Parachinar Press Club has been ongoing for the past 9 days against the blockade of roads leading to Parachinar and Upper Kurram by Takfiri militants.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Protesters also held a rally from Parachinar Bazaar to the District Hospital, demanding the reopening of the main highway, the release of Tehsil Chairman Agha Mazmil Hussain, and a relief package for families affected by the unrest.

Protest leaders stated that a deliberate conspiracy is being carried out to starve the 500,000-strong population of Parachinar and Upper Kurram. Due to the road blockade, the area is facing a severe shortage of food supplies, and the lack of medicines is leading to the loss of precious lives.

Despite the extreme cold, heavy rain, and snowfall, a large number of people, including the elderly, children, and youth, are actively participating in the sit-in. Protesters urged the government to enforce the peace agreement and take immediate action to secure and reopen all roads.

During the demonstration, Chairman Moin Hussain, Malik Zartaj Hussain, Musarrat Bangash, and other speakers emphasized the immediate release of Agha Mazmil Hussain. They also called on the government to take strict notice of repeated violations of the peace agreement and ensure lasting peace in the region.
