Shia Ulema Council Pakistan organizes Shahid-e-Islam Conference, demands opening of road to Parachinar

The Shia Ulema Council, District Kharmang, organized the "Shahid-e-Islam Conference" at the district office in Kamango, along with a Majlis-e-Tarheem and Fatiha Khwani in memory of several deceased personalities.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The event was held to pay tribute and seek divine blessings for Ayatollah al-Uzma Sheikh Ghulam Hussain Najafi Shibani, Shaheed Syed Hassan Nasrullah, Shaheed Syed Safiuddin, the martyrs of Jamshoro, Zakir-e-Ahl-e-Bayt Akhun Zahid Ali (late) of Mehdiabad, and Muhammad Ali Nadeem (late), unit president of Mahmoodabad, Karachi, among others.

The conference was addressed by Syed Akbar Shah Rizvi, District President, Shia Ulema Council, Sheikh Muhammad Ali Zakari, Deputy Imam of Mehdiabad, and Sheikh Abid Hussain Hafizi, Imam of Tolti.

In their speeches, the speakers strongly rejected the decision by the Gilgit-Baltistan provincial government to abolish local holidays in the departments of education, health, and special education. They demanded immediate restoration of local holidays, warning of strong protests if their demands are not met, holding the provincial government responsible for any unrest.

During the conference, a resolution was passed expressing serious concern over the dire situation of the oppressed people of Parachinar who remain besieged by terrorists. It warned of an impending food crisis and humanitarian disaster and called on the federal government, Pakistan Army, and the KP provincial government to immediately liberate the route to Parachinar and ensure safe passage.

The conference also called for a decisive operation against terrorists across Pakistan and strongly opposed any negotiations with them. Recent incidents of terrorism were condemned in the strongest terms.

The speakers also condemned the brutal violence and oppression against Alawi and Shia communities in Syria, urging the United Nations and human rights organizations to play their role in providing protection and support to these persecuted groups.

The program began with Quran recitation for the elevation of the souls of the deceased.
