AhlulBayt News Agency: A delegation from Iraq’s Sunni Awqaf Department paid a visit to Al-Kafeel Museum in Karbala, which is affiliated to the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine.
Dr. Shawqi al-Mousawi, the deputy of the museum, said the delegation was from the Islamic museum of the Sunni Awqaf Department.
They toured different parts of Al-Kafeel Museum and learned about its activities, including documentation and archiving and the preservation of items.
Dr. Mondhir Ismail, the director of the Islamic Museum of the Sunni Awqaf Department said, “This is our second visit to the Al-Kafeel Museum of Treasures and Manuscripts. In this museum, we have seen artifacts that reflect the history of Iraq. It houses a valuable collection of ancient artifacts, rare manuscripts, and textiles, and serves as a cultural center for showcasing Islamic heritage.”
The purpose of this visit was to establish communication bridges between the two museums for the exchange of experiences and the organization of cultural activities, he went on to say.
