In its statement, released on Wednesday, the General Staff of the Armed Forces hailed the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) for its recent attack against the Takfiri terrorists in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor region.
The attack on terrorists’ safe havens in Syria, taking place simultaneous with approval of Iran sanctions bill in the US Senate, conveyed the message to enemies that threatening Iran’s national security will be given quick response, it said.
General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran also said in the statement that plots by the United States and its allies aimed at polarizing the Iranian society by approving new sanctions has already failed and the Iranian society is now more consolidated than ever.
Majority of Iranians believe that Washington is behind the June 7 terrorist operations in the Iranian capital and they remain to be monitoring all moves by the US, the statement added.
The Iranian Armed Forces are well equipped and ready to give enemies ‘slap in the face’, it said.
