A salient Egyptian Qur’an reciter asserted, “The holy shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.) is full of spirituality and celestial sense and a special gnostic fever is felt therein.”
Sheikh Mahmood Anwar viewed reciting in the holy shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.) enthusiastic and stated, “I had many trips to different countries for recitation but I’ve experienced the most enthusiastic Qur’anic sessions in Iran and in the holy shrine in particular.”
Noting that Iranians are very interested in Qur’an, he said, “Iranians hold Qur’anic sessions for the sake of God’s content while in other countries it is done for getting a fame or income.”
Shahat Anwar reiterated, “Unfortunately, the general inclination toward the qaries (Qur’an reciters) and Qur’an recitation is of material but in Iran it is the love for Qur’an that accounts for it. Their presence in the Qur’anic assemblies is merely for benefitting the spiritual aspect of Qur’an.”
He equated the Qur’anic enthusiasm in Iran just like Egypt and said, “In the recent year, the Iranian qaries have had a quick and remarkable trend of growth. I have met many salient qaries in Iran and even the beginners have a very beautiful recitation and tone.”
Referring to the victory of the Islamic revolution of Iran he said, “The Islamic revolution was a great movement and caused the Islamic and Qur’anic changes in this country. Iranian people love Qur’an, preserve it and have a high regard for qaries.”
At the end, appreciating Astan Quds Razavi for holding big Qur’anic assemblies, this salient Qur’an reciter said, “With respect to the Qur’anic enthusiasm among the Iranian youth and attention of religious centers to Qur’anic sessions, we will see further growth in recitation among the Iranian qaries and Iran will become the center of recitation in the Islamic world.”
