(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Surprised with the solution of Iranian supreme leader about holding a referendum in Palestine, a member of Egypt’s Council for Foreign Affairs said: “the realization of such suggestion will result in a united Palestine.
When asked about the importance of the Palestine issue, he said: “the Zionist regime has occupied a territory that does not belong to it.”
He appreciated Ayatollah Khamenei’s suggestion for referendum and continued: “I was surprised by his suggestion. It was really a practical constructive suggestion. It is all we hope for Palestine.”
He criticized heads of Arab countries for not having reached to such conclusion and added: “the real democracy is defined in a referendum. Why has the Zionists occupied Palestine and won’t allow for a referendum?”
“If this suggestion gets executed, we would witness a united Palestine. The Zionist regime cannot keep its nuclear weapons” said Abushadi.
The former inspector of IAEA mentioned the rights of the entire world to use nuclear technology, and added: “some politicians intend to impose their ideas about nuclear issues to other countries; therefore we are witnessing such oppositions against Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities. Iran has never sought production of nuclear weapons; as its supreme leader highlighted Islam’s idea yesterday and expressed his country’s disagreement to such weapons.
Abushadi remarked that no country is allowed to stop peaceful nuclear activities of other countries, today there are 12 countries which use this technology in their development, yet America disagrees with peaceful nuclear activities of countries like Iran.
Answering a question about the Egypt-Iran relations, Abushadi said: “we have good relations with Iranian nation. We haven’t had such a good relations before; but after the revolution in Egypt, the bilateral relations of the two countries are improving.”
