(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz said Imam Khomeini was not only an Islamic scholar but a visionary leader who had established an Islamic political system in Iran.
'We seldom see personalities like Imam Khomeini,' he said.
PML-N spokesperson said leaders like Imam Khomeini are born after centuries. He was of the opinion that Imam Khomeini gave a message of struggle against oppression and enabled his nation to fight off the multifarious challenges with courage.
The lawmaker said Imam Khomeini took all the pains of suppressed Iranian nation and fought with courage against the dictatorship. 'After a long struggle of Imam Khomeini, Iran had wittiness an Islamic Revolution which nobody was expecting,' viewed the political leader.
'The development and advancement of present-day Iran is solely due to the lofty principles that Imam Khomeini preached through out his life,' added the senator.
Mushahid Ullah Khan said that western elements have been trying to destabilize the Islamic Revolution but they have failed to accomplish their evil plots.
Expressing his views, the senator said that today supporters of Islam and Islamic Revolution are being targeted by the US and its allies.
'Imperialist forces are trying to corner supporters of Islamic Revolution through power,' said the political leader.
He said that awakening movements in Muslim states is the reaction of oppressed Muslim nations against American hegemony. 'Definitely these movements have roots in the Islamic Revolution of Iran, that is why the hegemonic powers have failed to stop them,” said the PML-N leader.
'Nowadays these movements have spread to the whole Muslim world,' he added.
Mushahid Ullah Khan said that Islamic awakening is an ideology and ideology cannot be defeated through power.
