Several people, including women, have been injured in an attack by Saudi-backed Bahraini forces in the northern village of Abu Saiba.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Bahraini activists in Abu Saiba said regime forces fired tear gas and used stun grenades to disperse a group of people attending the funeral procession of a man who died due to tear gas inhalation.

On Thursday, a group of 20 doctors who were detained during the peaceful anti-government demonstrations in Bahrain received long prison sentences.

Since mid-February, thousands of anti-government protesters in Bahrain have been staging regular demonstrations, calling for the Al Khalifa royal family to relinquish power.
