A forum to discuss “Islamic Revolution and Domestic and Foreign Developments” was held on February 3 in Russia

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A forum to discuss “Islamic Revolution and Domestic and Foreign Developments” was held on February 3 in Russia.

It was arranged by Iranian Cultural Office in Russia on the occasion of 32nd victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

The event was attended by Vladimir Volfovich Zhirinovsky, Russian politician and leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) and a number of Iranain and Russian intellectuals and Iranologists.

Vladimir Volfovich Zhirinovsky made a speech at the forum and after offered his congratulations on the occasion.

“The Islamic Revolution had unique characteristics and such an event won’t occur again,” he opined.

He went on to say that bullying powers like the U.S. and Israel are seeking increasing tension in the Middle East so that they can get rid of the current economic crisis.

At the beginning of the forum a movie regarding Iran’s achievements in social, scientific, and economic arenas after the Islamic Revolution was screened and various aspects of these accomplishments were analyzed.

Ahamad Heydarian, Iran’s ambassador to Russia and Abuzar Ebrahimi, Iran’s cultural attaché delivered speeches at the meeting as well.

They also, respectively, discussed various aspects of the Islamic Revolution and regarded the role of the Supreme Leader as very important in the continuation of the Revolution and sticking to the aspirations of the late founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA).

It was held at the building of State Duma.
