AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): For years, dictators ruling Arab countries have suppressed any form of legitimate demand within their societies with the backing of their American and Western patrons. Despite awareness of these crimes and daily acts of torture inflicted upon Arab peoples, human rights organizations have maintained a heavy silence and continue attempting to whitewash the image of these dictatorial rulers through state-controlled media propaganda.
According to Al-Wafaq Association, martyr Sayed Muhammad al-Mousawi, a resident of Al-Muharragh island in Bahrain, was detained last week without any justifiable reason while passing through a checkpoint alongside several other young men. However, only a few days after his arrest, on March 27, 2026, his tortured body was handed over by Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior to his family.
During the past week, al-Mousawi’s family remained unaware of his condition and were shocked upon learning of his martyrdom and seeing his tortured corpse.
Al-Mousawi, who had been married for only two years, was a beloved and well-reputed young man in his local community. He was detained alongside Sayed Ahmad al-Mousawi, a prominent Bahraini poet and engineer whose heartfelt recitations of Ramadan supplications had been broadcast multiple times on various Iranian television networks. Ahmad al-Mousawi was also arrested, and his current status remains unknown, with no information available about him.
The release of images showing al-Mousawi’s tortured body has plunged Bahrain into profound shock and deep sorrow. Religious scholars and various political opposition figures in Bahrain have issued strong condemnatory statements denouncing this heinous act.
