AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, in remarks to the managers and staff of the Assembly, explained the recent developments following the martyrdom of the martyred Leader at the hands of the criminals of the era.
The Secretary-General of the Assembly, referring to the election of the third Leader of the Islamic Republic system, stated that the Assembly of Experts began its efforts to elect a new Leader from the day the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei was announced, and the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Assembly was held on the morning of that same Sunday.
He continued by saying that the enemies, in order to prevent the convening of the Assembly of Experts, targeted the secretariats of this Assembly in the cities of Tehran and Qom. When they struck the secretariat of the Assembly of Experts in Qom, he noted, they announced this and claimed to have assassinated a number of members of the Assembly.
The representative of the people of Gilan Province in the Assembly of Experts added that because discussions had already taken place beforehand, the session did not take long, and Ayatollah Sayed Mojtaba Khamenei was elected as the third Leader of the Islamic Republic from among two final candidates with more than three-quarters of the votes.
Ayatollah Ramazani stated that the election of Ayatollah Sayed Mojtaba Khamenei to the leadership had no hereditary aspect. Referring to his qualities, he said that convening the session of the Assembly of Experts under wartime conditions was a miracle, and the members attended this session having performed the ritual ablution for martyrdom. He explained that justice is discussed in various fields, including mysticism, philosophy, ethics, psychology, and jurisprudence, adding that based on his knowledge of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, he possesses justice.
He added that Ayatollah Sayed Mojtaba Khamenei is distinguished in the field of ijtihad and has been conducting advanced jurisprudence sessions (Dars Kharij) for over a decade. On the other hand, he stated, he has engaged in jurisprudential discussions with him for more than twenty years, and he is definitively a mujtahid. He expressed that he has not a shred of doubt regarding Ayatollah Sayed Mojtaba Khamenei’s mastery over the political affairs of the country, and the proof for him to vote for him, given his qualities in the areas of justice, jurisprudence, and mastery over political affairs, was complete.
Ayatollah Ramazani continued by stating that through the perspective taught to them by the two Imams of the Revolution, they have placed themselves on the correct path of history. He noted that the Qur’an speaks of both leadership on the front of truth and leadership on the front of falsehood. Today, he said, racism, slavery, poverty, destitution, and the humiliation of nations are at their peak. Resolutions are issued against the Zionist regime, he explained, but they have no enforcement mechanism, and no action is taken against Israel.
The representative of the people of Gilan Province in the Assembly of Experts, referring to the importance of being on the correct path of history, stated that the correct path of history is to confront slavery. Today, he said, they are facing modern slavery. He explained that the Jewish people consider themselves the chosen people and seek a promised land, pursuing this dangerous perspective because they believe everyone must serve them. In this regard, he concluded, they must confront the tyranny of the system of domination and the international plundering and theft of the colonialists.
