Israel May Involved in Attacks on Shia Holy Sites in India: Maulana Kalbe Jawad Naqvi

Maulana Syed Kalbe Jawad Naqvi, General Secretary of Majlis-e-Ulema-e-Hind, strongly condemned the recent incidents in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, where police allegedly desecrated an Imambara, and in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, where the shrine of Imam Ali (AS) was attacked and set on fire.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Maulana Syed Kalbe Jawad Naqvi, General Secretary of Majlis-e-Ulema-e-Hind, strongly condemned the recent incidents in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, where police allegedly desecrated an Imambara, and in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, where the shrine of Imam Ali (AS) was attacked and set on fire.

He said that the way Shia holy places were disrespected and Shias were targeted in Bhopal and Farrukhabad is unacceptable and deserves strong condemnation.
Maulana Kalbe Jawad stated that such incidents had never happened in India before.

He said that although there have been Hindu-Muslim riots in the past, Shias were never deliberately and systematically targeted. He added that for the first time, Shias and their holy places are being targeted in an organized manner, and the governments of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh should take strict action.

He appealed to the central government to take these incidents seriously, conduct a proper investigation, and punish those responsible.

He further claimed that Israeli agents may be present in India and could be trying to disturb the country’s atmosphere. He said that such incidents against Shias had never occurred before and alleged that Israeli agents might be targeting Shia holy sites. He linked this to global tensions, claiming that since Shias oppose the United States and Israel worldwide, hostility toward Iran and opposition to the US and Israel are being taken out on Shias in India.

Maulana Kalbe Jawad Naqvi urged the government to thoroughly investigate the incidents and ensure strict punishment for the culprits so that such acts are not repeated.
