Indian Shia Scholars: Iranian Leadership Will Not Tolerate Any Form of Aggression

A press conference titled “Support for Peace and Faith, Opposition to Oppression and Injustice” was held today at the Uttar Pradesh Press Club, Lucknow, under the banner of Aman wa Insaf Tehreek.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A press conference titled “Support for Peace and Faith, Opposition to Oppression and Injustice” was held today at the Uttar Pradesh Press Club, Lucknow, under the banner of Aman wa Insaf Tehreek.

On this occasion, Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Hind General Secretary Maulana Kalbe Jawad Naqvi, Idara Tanzimul Makateb Secretary Maulana Syed Safi Haider Zaidi, Maulana Jahangir Alam Qasmi, and several other religious leaders participated and expressed deep concern over growing global unrest and injustice. In particular, they strongly condemned American dominance and Israeli aggression.

Opening the press conference, Maulana Syed Safi Haider Zaidi said they had gathered to support peace and faith at the global level and to oppose oppression and injustice.

He stated that India has always stood for peace and opposed war, and therefore they wish to spread a message of peace and unity along with fellow citizens.

He announced that under the “Qaumi Aman Campaign,” a nationwide signature drive, protests, conferences, and social media awareness initiatives would be carried out. He emphasized that this is not an issue concerning one country alone but all of humanity. If the leadership of a sovereign nation is targeted today, no one will be safe tomorrow. He expressed solidarity with the people and leadership of Iran.

Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Hind General Secretary Maulana Kalbe Jawad Naqvi said the current global situation is extremely concerning. Powerful nations, he alleged, are pursuing policies aimed at seizing the natural resources of weaker countries.

He claimed that Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and Libya were devastated under various pretexts, and now Iran is being targeted. He stressed that interference in the internal affairs of any sovereign nation must be condemned.

Criticizing alleged threats against Iranian leadership, he said they would not tolerate any attack on Iran’s leadership or its sacred religious sites. If such steps were taken, there would be widespread protests in the country.

He also questioned the role of national media, stating that the media’s responsibility is to support the truth, not to side with any particular power.

He said that many journalists were killed in Gaza, and this was not adequately condemned. Thanking the Government of India for voting in favor of Iran at the United Nations Security Council, he expressed hope that India would remain committed to its traditional independent foreign policy principles.

Maulana Jahangir Alam Qasmi said that oppression must be condemned wherever it occurs. He also criticized attacks on the Shia community in Pakistan and appealed to the global community to remain alert. He said that justice, dialogue, and diplomacy must be prioritized to achieve lasting global peace.

Key Demands:

At the end of the press conference, Maulana Syed Safi Haider Zaidi presented the following demands unanimously:

  1. Any threats of assassination or abduction against Iranian leadership must be stopped immediately.
  2. Violations of international law must be held accountable at the global level.
  3. Dialogue and diplomacy should be prioritized over threats of war.
  4. The United Nations and other international institutions should play an effective role in establishing peace.
