Turkish police arrested 60 people in simultaneous operations for charges of cooperation with Kurdish rebels from Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).

Anti-terror police arrested suspects in raids on Istanbul, Batman, Diyarbakir and Van provinces. Weapons were seized during crackdowns.

Kurdish separatist organization (PKK) launched an armed struggle against Turkey which claimed over 45,000 lives[12] within a 20 year long activity period.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization internationally by a number of states and organizations, including the United States, United Nations, NATO and the European Union.
