AhlulBayt News Agency: Israeli Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to halt humanitarian aid to Gaza, forcefully displace the population, and fully occupy the territory, opposing any form of ceasefire negotiations.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, Ben-Gvir claimed that any ceasefire plan involving demilitarization of Gaza, Israeli withdrawal from areas it now controls, release of Palestinian detainees, or facilitation of humanitarian aid would be a “reward for terrorism.”
He added, “Victory can only be achieved by completely conquering the Gaza Strip, fully halting so-called humanitarian aid, and encouraging emigration. I call on the prime minister to abandon surrender and return to the path of victory.”
Meanwhile, Hamas stated on Friday that it had responded “positively” to a ceasefire proposal, while requesting three key amendments.
Hamas’ proposed changes include: continuing negotiations if a permanent deal is not reached during the 60-day pause; clarifying the deployment of Israeli forces during the truce; and channeling humanitarian aid exclusively through the United Nations and its agencies, rather than through the Israel-US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).
Since GHF began its operations in Gaza in late May, more than 700 Palestinians have been killed and thousands wounded while attempting to access aid near its distribution sites.
