AhlulBayt News Agency: At the International Conference on Financing for Development, Reza Zabib, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Spain, delivered a message on behalf of President Masoud Pezeshkian in his capacity as the President’s special representative.
In his message, President Pezeshkian outlined the dimensions of what he described as acts of aggression by the Israeli and U.S. governments. He also emphasized the importance of rethinking the global financial architecture to more effectively support development goals.
According to IRNA, during the conference session that he chaired on Tuesday, Ambassador Zabib presented graphic images depicting dozens of children killed in the conflict, while reading the segment of the President’s message addressing the aggression. He stressed that the resulting casualties—exceeding six thousand civilians killed or injured—constitute a blatant violation of the UN Charter, the Non-Proliferation Treaty, and the fundamental principles of international law.
President Pezeshkian further asserted that such actions undermine global efforts to promote multilateralism and uphold international legal norms. He urged the international community, particularly UN member states, to condemn what he termed an unlawful act of aggression.
