Iranian missile strikes reportedly destroy over 31,000 buildings in Israeli territory: Media

Iranian media report that more than 31,000 buildings and 4,000 vehicles in Israel were destroyed or heavily damaged as a result of missile and drone strikes carried out by Iran during the recent conflict in the region.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Iranian media report that more than 31,000 buildings and 4,000 vehicles in Israel were destroyed or heavily damaged as a result of missile and drone strikes carried out by Iran during the recent conflict in the region.

According to a report by Defa Press, cited by Russia’s TASS news agency, the scale of destruction underscores what Iranian sources describe as “enormous and irreparable damage” inflicted on Israeli territory during the 12-day confrontation.

According to Mehr, the conflict began on June 13, when Israel launched what Tehran has labeled a war of aggression, targeting Iranian military, nuclear, and civilian infrastructure. On June 22, the United States formally entered the hostilities by launching airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan.

In response, Iran’s Armed Forces initiated a series of counterattacks. The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force executed 22 waves of missile strikes as part of Operation True Promise III, which reportedly targeted Israeli cities and infrastructure across the occupied territories.

The escalation also extended to American military assets in the region. Following the U.S. strikes, Iranian forces fired a salvo of missiles at al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar—the largest U.S. military installation in West Asia.

The fighting ceased on June 24 following the announcement of a ceasefire agreement.
