AhlulBayt News Agency: The Government Media Office in Gaza announced on Tuesday that 516 Palestinians have been killed and 3,799 others injured in what it described as “Israeli-American death traps” targeting starving civilians attempting to reach humanitarian aid centers in the besieged Gaza Strip. An additional 39 people remain missing, feared dead beneath rubble or lost amid the chaos.
According to the statement, Israeli occupation forces have repeatedly bombed and shelled aid distribution points—especially in Rafah and central Gaza—over recent days, turning supposed relief zones into deadly ambush sites. Most of the victims were impoverished and displaced civilians seeking food in a region devastated by famine.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has waged what human rights groups and international legal bodies increasingly describe as a genocidal war on Gaza, killing or injuring around 180,000 Palestinians—mostly women and children—and displacing hundreds of thousands. Over 11,000 remain missing, many believed to be buried under rubble.
Despite multiple rulings by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and growing international pressure, Israel has continued its military campaign with full support from the United States, in defiance of international law.
The current aid system, which bypasses the United Nations and major humanitarian organizations, has faced widespread criticism for being both ineffective and dangerous.
Palestinian officials and aid groups argue that this “new aid system” is being used as a tool of military and political control, accusing Israel and the U.S. of weaponizing food access to collectively punish and subjugate the population.
