Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi thanks Iranian forces after final missile strike

Iran’s foreign minister praised the armed forces and said operations continued until dawn.

AhlulBayt News Agency: On Tuesday morning, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed his appreciation on social media for the country’s armed forces, describing them as “powerful” and thanking them on behalf of the Iranian people.

He stated that the military campaign to retaliate against the Zionist regime for its aggression continued until the final moment, ending at dawn.

In his message, Araghchi praised the armed forces for their unwavering readiness to defend the nation and for responding to enemy attacks until the very last minute.

Just before the ceasefire took effect, Iranian forces launched a final round of missiles at the occupied territories, reportedly making direct hits.

Videos shared online showed sirens sounding in cities like Tel Aviv and Haifa, with residents rushing to underground shelters in panic.

Araghchi’s remarks came shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump announced on social media that a ceasefire had been reached between Iran and Israel.

Trump claimed that both sides had agreed to a full ceasefire, ending the conflict that began earlier this month with Israeli attacks.

However, Araghchi had previously clarified that no formal agreement had been reached, but Iran would stop its response if Israel halted its aggression by dawn.

These developments followed Iran’s missile strike on the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, which serves as the forward headquarters for CENTCOM.

The operation, named “Tidings of Victory,” was carried out in response to U.S. airstrikes on three nuclear sites in Iran earlier that week.

IRGC commander Mohammad Pakpour warned that any renewed U.S. aggression would be met with even more forceful and regret-inducing retaliation.

Although Araghchi’s comments suggest the possibility of a ceasefire, other senior Iranian officials have not yet confirmed any agreement.
