Hamas delegation meets Russian envoy in Moscow to discuss Gaza war

A Hamas delegation met with Mikhail Bogdanov in Moscow, discussing Israeli aggression in Gaza, the West Bank, and Iran. Russia reaffirmed support for Palestinian rights, while Hamas warned of regional instability if Israel’s attacks continue

AhlulBayt News Agency: A senior delegation from the Hamas Movement met on Monday with Mikhail Bogdanov, the Special Representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister, at the Russian Foreign Ministry headquarters in Moscow.

The meeting focused on the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza, addressing escalating violations in the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem, as well as the recent Israeli aggression on Iran.

The Hamas delegation, led by Dr. Mousa Abu Marzouk, Head of International Relations for the Movement, briefed Bogdanov on the extent of Israeli crimes committed against the Palestinian people and Islamic holy sites, particularly the ongoing genocidal war in Gaza, now in its 20th month.

The delegation also presented the increasing settler violence and expansion of illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank, along with aggressive policies in Occupied Jerusalem.

Additionally, the meeting included an exchange of views on the recent Israeli attack on Tehran.

During the meeting, Hamas affirmed Tehran’s legitimate right to self-defense and warned that allowing Israel to prevail in this confrontation would pose a grave threat to regional security and stability.

For his part, Bogdanov reaffirmed Russia’s support for the rights of the Palestinian people. He outlined Russia’s diplomatic efforts with key international players to halt the aggression, open humanitarian corridors, and facilitate the entry of aid into the besieged Gaza Strip, highlighting Russian activity in the UN Security Council.

He also expressed Russia’s appreciation for its relationship with Hamas and stressed the importance of continued dialogue between Hamas leaders and Russian officials.

Alongside Abu Marzouk, the Hamas delegation included Sami Abu Zuhri, Bashar Shalabi, Mohammed Al-Ayla, and Iyad Abu Zaher, the Movement’s representative in the Russian Federation.

Meanwhile, Israel continues its relentless campaign of destruction against Gaza, marked by daily massacres, bombing of residential areas, and intensified attacks near US-Israeli aid distribution points. The siege tightens further, pushing the civilian population into deeper hunger and desperation amid a collapsed humanitarian landscape.
