Iranian cleric: Imam Kazim’s legacy inspires perseverance amid modern challenges

Speaking at the beginning of his public jurisprudence lecture today, Ayatollah Saeedi began by congratulating the birth anniversary of Imam Musa al-Kazim (PBUH), describing the Imam as a timeless symbol of patience, resistance, cultural jihad, and unwavering defense of divine principles.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Speaking at the beginning of his public jurisprudence lecture today, Ayatollah Saeedi began by congratulating the birth anniversary of Imam Musa al-Kazim (PBUH), describing the Imam as a timeless symbol of patience, resistance, cultural jihad, and unwavering defense of divine principles. He noted:

“Imam Kazim (PBUH) taught us that one must seek assistance from patience and prayer in life’s most difficult trials. He remained steadfast in defending the cause of guardianship and divine command until the very end of his noble life.”

Ayatollah Saeedi drew a parallel between the historical sacrifices of the past and today’s geopolitical challenges, stating:

“We experienced eight years of Holy Defense, and through the perseverance of warriors and the nation, we earned decades of peace and security. Today, despite multiple countries aligning against us, we are stronger than ever. If we stand firm and persevere, we will secure peace and stability for the future.”

Quoting a narration from Imam Kazim (PBUH), he said the highest form of worship after recognizing God is "the expectation of relief." He explained that this waiting has two layers of meaning:

Relief from trials and hardship, as referenced in the Quran: “Indeed, with hardship comes ease.”
Awaiting the appearance of the Imam Mahdi (PBUH), which he described as an active, thoughtful, and dynamic anticipation rooted in spiritual growth and responsibility.
Ayatollah Saeedi concluded by reflecting on Surah al-Asr, emphasizing that in today’s era, "advising to truth" means defending the Islamic Republic, and "advising to patience" refers to remaining steadfast in that defense.

“Our strength lies not only in arms, but in the endurance of our faith, the wisdom of our leadership, and the patience of our people.”
