AhlulBayt News Agency: The Israeli military reported that a ballistic missile launched from Yemen triggered sirens in several communities within Israeli-occupied territories. The attack comes as Yemeni Armed Forces conduct operations in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and amid Iran’s retaliatory strikes on Israeli military sites.
According to the pan-Arab al-Mayadeen television news channel, an Israeli military spokesperson confirmed that sirens sounded in the Negev region on Monday, warning of incoming missile fire.
The Israeli military claimed that its air defense systems successfully intercepted the projectile. Meanwhile, Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency response service stated that no injuries had been reported.
The missile strike followed a statement from the Yemeni army, which claimed responsibility for launching attacks on Israeli-occupied territories.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni military, declared in a televised statement that the operation was conducted in support of Palestinians and Iranians, targeting sensitive Israeli sites in Tel Aviv with hypersonic ballistic missiles over the past 24 hours.
Saree emphasized that the operation was coordinated with Iranian military forces, including the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), in response to Israeli actions.
The Yemeni military vowed to continue missile strikes against Israeli-occupied territories until the war and blockade on Gaza come to an end.
