Israeli attack on ambulance in Iran kills two, Red Crescent reports

An Israeli attack targeted an ambulance in northwestern Iran, killing at least two people, according to the Iranian Red Crescent.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Iranian Red Crescent Society reported that at least two people were killed when an Israeli attack targeted an ambulance in northwestern Iran.

The strike occurred in Western Azerbaijan province on Saturday, marking the second day of intense exchanges of fire between Israel and Iran.

No further details about the attack were immediately available.

Israel launched a military operation against Iran early on Friday, striking high-ranking military officials and multiple military, nuclear, and civilian sites across Tehran and other cities.

The unprovoked assault took place amid ongoing negotiations between Tehran and Washington over Iran’s nuclear program. In response, Iran carried out a large-scale retaliatory missile strike, forcing millions of Israeli settlers into bomb shelters.

On Saturday, Israeli authorities announced plans to escalate their attacks, while Iranian officials vowed a more forceful response.
