Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei approves pardon or sentence reduction of 1,705 convicts, coinciding with the auspicious occasions of Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Ghadir.
Coinciding with the Eid al-Adha and Ghadir Eid, Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, agreed with the request of the Head of the Judiciary to pardon or commute the sentences of over 1,700 convicts.
The convicts had been tried in different Iranian courts.
