AhlulBayt News Agency: Syrian security forces carried out violent raids on two villages in Latakia province, killing three Alawite men and setting fire to homes and vehicles, according to the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The raids targeted Bayt Aana and Al-Daliya in the Jableh countryside, where security personnel reportedly torched dozens of homes, a school, a commercial center, and a sports club.
During the operation, two young men, including one with special needs, were shot dead, while a third man from nearby Batmoush was found with a fatal gunshot wound.
In Al-Daliya, three homes were burned, and several young men were detained.
Authorities confirmed that the security operation aimed to target suspects involved in an attack on a telecommunications center in Al-Daliya, announcing multiple arrests.
The raids followed recent deadly attacks on Alawites, highlighting ongoing sectarian violence since the overthrow of former President Bashar al-Assad in late 2024.
