AhlulBayt News Agency: Israeli forces have intensified their violent incursions into multiple areas of the West Bank, continuing their aggressive actions alongside the ongoing war in Gaza.
Palestine’s official news agency WAFA reported that two Palestinian youths were injured on Saturday evening by Israeli occupation forces in the east of Ariha, in the occupied West Bank.
One of the victims was wounded by live gunfire, while the other suffered a head injury due to physical assault, according to reports.
“The first victim sustained a gunshot wound, while the second suffered a head injury from beating. Both were transferred to the hospital for treatment,” the Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated.
WAFA also reported that Israeli forces had set up a military checkpoint east of Ariha, where they opened fire on civilians and assaulted several others.
On Saturday evening, several Palestinians were injured when dozens of Israeli settlers attacked Deir Dibwan, a town east of Ramallah.
WAFA stated that settlers stormed the eastern entrance of the town and attempted to force their way in, leading to confrontations with local residents and multiple minor injuries among Palestinians.
Under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, settlers also assaulted Palestinian civilians in an area between Ni’lin and Qibya, west of Ramallah.
Youssef al-Khawaja, head of the Ni’lin municipality, told WAFA that settlers attacked Palestinians on their own land, forcing them to leave after releasing their sheep into fields and destroying agricultural crops.
Khawaja emphasized that Ni’lin has been subjected to persistent settler violence, particularly from a nearby outpost established on Palestinian land in Jabal al-’Alam, on the outskirts of the town.
In Sa’ir, northeast of al-Khalil, armed Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian farmers as they tended their land.
Israeli occupation forces arrived to protect the attackers and detained a young Palestinian man who was defending the farmers.
These incidents reflect an increasingly systematic pattern of Israeli settler aggression against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, carried out with the active backing of Israeli forces.
In April, Israeli settlers conducted 231 attacks, including vandalism and theft of Palestinian property. The aggression also involved the destruction of farmland and the uprooting of 1,168 olive trees—530 in Ramallah and al-Bireh, 300 in Nablus, and 298 in Salfit.
Since October 7, 2023, when Israel launched its war on Gaza, violence in the West Bank has escalated, with Israeli forces and settlers killing approximately 1,000 Palestinians in the occupied territory.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, at least 54,381 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and over 124,381 individuals injured in Israeli military attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023.
