AhlulBayt News Agency: Hisham Qassem, Hamas’s media official abroad, has dismissed as false a report aired by Al-Arabiya TV, which alleged internal disputes between the Movement’s political leadership and military command in Gaza over the issue of an Israeli captive.
In a press statement on Tuesday, Qassem called the report “baseless,” describing it as part of a smear campaign targeting the resistance leadership amid the ongoing genocide and blockade in the Gaza Strip.
“The report aired by Al-Arabiya is filled with lies and fabricated accusations,” he said. “It comes at a time when our people are enduring a brutal campaign of extermination and starvation carried out by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF),” he added.
Qassem further criticized Al-Arabiya for echoing what he described as the Zionist occupation’s propaganda. He called on the channel’s management to issue an official apology and refrain from participating in the distortion of the Palestinian resistance’s image.
He added that Al-Arabiya has repeatedly published unfounded claims intended to delegitimize both the resistance and the broader Palestinian struggle, particularly as the people of Gaza face relentless attacks, displacement, and the collapse of basic living conditions under ongoing IOF aggression.
