AhlulBayt News Agency: Local sources in the Shia town of Khadir in the Daykundi province of Afghanistan reported the imprisonment of the director and five teachers of an English language school in the town.
According to the sources, these individuals, who worked at the “Ofogh-e-No” school, were sentenced to prison on charges of teaching Christian courses and promoting non-Islamic culture.
The director of this school, along with two teachers, were sentenced to 5 months in prison, and three other teachers to 3 months in prison by the Taliban.
It is worth noting that in January of last year, the director and teachers of this educational center were also arrested and released on bail.
Not long ago, the Taliban closed the representative offices of this school in Sangtakht and Bandar counties of Daykundi province and arrested its teachers.
This is the second English language education center to be closed or restricted during the Taliban’s rule in Afghanistan.
