AhlulBayt News Agency: President Masoud Pezeshkian voiced his optimism about the potential of scholarly gatherings to strengthen cooperation among Muslim nations in addressing shared challenges.
According to IRNA, speaking at the second Ministerial Meeting of the OIC-15 Dialogue Platform in Tehran on Monday, Pezeshkian underscored the importance of such forums in fostering unity among scientists from the Islamic world. He emphasized that collaboration among Muslim countries is essential across various sectors, with Iran ready to contribute, particularly in scientific endeavors.
The President highlighted the vital role of scientists and academics in identifying and tackling key issues. He urged them to engage in joint efforts to resolve challenges within their nations and across the broader Islamic world, noting that platforms like this meeting provide valuable opportunities for such cooperation.
Additionally, Pezeshkian called upon scientific and educational leaders across Islamic countries to encourage researchers and students to actively participate in collaborative projects.
He stressed that stronger cooperation among the 1.8 billion Muslims worldwide could enhance their influence in the fields of science and technology.
Pezeshkian also pointed to the common heritage uniting Muslim communities—including the Holy Quran, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and shared principles of understanding and cooperation—asserting that through collective efforts, the Islamic world can achieve significant advancements.
