AhlulBayt News Agency: Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali-Akbar Ahmadian reaffirmed Iran and Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding regional peace, emphasizing that they will not allow external forces to undermine stability.
According to IRNA, during a phone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart, Mohammad Asim Malik, Ahmadian highlighted the significance of strengthening political, economic, and security cooperation between the two neighboring nations.
He praised Tehran and Islamabad’s dedication to securing their shared borders and combating terrorism, noting that their collaboration serves not only their national interests but also contributes to overall regional stability. Ahmadian stressed that both countries are determined to prevent peace from becoming a tool for adversarial interference.
During the call, he also extended his congratulations to Asim Malik on his appointment as Pakistan’s National Security Advisor.
The two security officials engaged in discussions on bilateral relations as well as key regional and international developments.
In response, Asim Malik commended Iran’s constructive role in regional affairs and expressed Pakistan’s willingness to expand cooperation across various sectors.
