Iraq pledges $40 million for Gaza and Lebanon reconstruction

At the Arab League summit, Iraq pledged $40 million for the reconstruction of Gaza and Lebanon. Prime Minister Mohamed as-Sudani reaffirmed Iraq’s commitment to ending regional conflicts and supporting Palestinian rights. The initiative includes an Arab Fund for post-war recovery.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Iraq, the host of the Arab League summit, pledged on Saturday to allocate $40 million for the reconstruction of Gaza and Lebanon, both devastated by months of Israeli attacks.

Referring to an initiative aimed at creating an “Arab Fund to support reconstruction after crises, conflicts, and wars,” Iraqi Prime Minister Mohamed as-Sudani announced his country’s contribution of $20 million to rebuild Gaza and a similar amount for Lebanon.

As-Sudani emphasized Iraq’s commitment to ending conflicts in the region and reaffirmed the Palestinian people’s full right to a free and dignified life on their land.
