AhlulBayt News Agency: Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri, head of Hamas' Political Bureau Abroad, has denied rumors that the movement has agreed to release nine Israeli captives in exchange for a two-month truce. He emphasized that discussions regarding such an agreement are inaccurate and are meant to deceive global public opinion.
Speaking to Al-Jazeera on Sunday, Abu Zuhri accused Israeli authorities of spreading false information to create confusion and pressure the resistance, allowing them to continue their military operations.
He stated that Hamas would not release Israeli captives while the occupation persists in its aggression against Gaza.
"We initiated the handover of soldier Edan Alexander to facilitate an agreement," he said, "but the American administration did not appreciate our step."
Abu Zuhri reiterated that Hamas is willing to release all captives simultaneously, provided that Israel agrees to stop the war under international guarantees.
