Maulana Aqif Zaidi referred to the success of the “Battī Gul” protest held on April 30, praising the unity and awareness of Indian Muslims. He appealed to the community to continue opposing this law through constitutional and legal means, just as they had raised their voices against CAA and NRC.
On this occasion, prominent Indian Shia leader and a key figure in the Waqf movement in India, Maulana Syed Kalbe Jawad Naqvi, also addressed the gathering. He highlighted the ground realities and emphasized the need for strong and united opposition to this law. He described it as “poison” for Indian Muslims and said that the Muslim community, along with patriotic citizens, will resist it till the very end.
Maulana Kalbe Jawad praised the protest held by Indian ulama in Qom, stating that it sends a clear message that Muslims across India are united against this law.
The program concluded with Maulana Iqbal Haidari reading out a memorandum condemning all forms of terrorism in the country and demanding the immediate withdrawal of the Waqf Amendment Law by the Indian government.
